it has 2 buttons? it works and there's no stutter? then that's a "gaming" mouse to me... don't need no fancy buttons or configurations to kick anyone's ass ;)

Thumbs up.

You can take your configurable mouse with special ratchet adjustments, palm size changes, etc.
I'll shoot you in the face.

When I used to play Unreal Tournament 2k3: Mouse button 1 & 2 for primary and secondary fire, buttons 3 & 4 for weapon toggling / other macros. I prefer keeping the WASD fingers in their place, and seeing as my mouse-hand thumb is free - it makes sense to utilize additional mouse buttons.

It definitely makes a difference to gameplay :).

My MX518 will kick the snot out of any of those. A pure gaming mouse from the pinnacle era before manufacturers started slapping unnecessary crap onto hardware in the name of "innovation".

To think that someone that uses a 4 button mouse must really be good with his fingers yet said fingers will never realise their true calling/potential ;)

The RAT9 is just a wireless RAT7, The MMO7 version is a better mouse imo in the Cyborg range. I've used other mice (mouses?) such as the MX518, MS X8 and Razer Naga Epic. Non though have been as comfy nor as customizable as the Cyborgs.

I have a R.A.T 5 and its pretty cool, i use every button actively when playing games like Diablo3. The ability to change its shape is very nice as it conforms to your hand perfectly. I would say paying more than R500 for a mouse though is insane.

If I was in my teens and we were mates I'd probably have a 'your mother' joke lined up :p.

Yeah I had one of those. And I agree 100%, best gaming mouse ever.

After that beastie I had a Razer Copperhead followed by a Razer Diamondback 3G which I still have. Really don't need anything else.

Mine is a R50 Genuis mouse with a PS2 plug and I'm not loosing any games soon

Most games dont require the accuracy, I dont like most of the R1000+ mice though because they always have stupid lazer and dual sensor nonsense which tracks badly on certain surfaces.
Proper optical ones always work best.
