glad you enjoyed it! i prefer the ps3 overall but xbox 360 has plenty of great features, and the intense competition between sony and microsoft can only be a good thing for gamers.

On the 5 GB packages its easily possible to play on local servers. I have not problem finding and joining servers for both Medal of Honour and Call of duty black ops. The only issue i have had the last 3 months is that since last week Friday my ping to Cape town based black ops servers are 300 to 350 ms, while my ping to Johannes burg based servers are 80 to 120 ms. Any one else getting something similar?

btw i am located in East London

What he forgot to mention about the controllers is that you can play while you charge with the PS3 while you have to take out the batteries from the Xbox controller. This is the best feature for me of the PS3 controller.

Overall however, I think the Xbox is better because of the responsiveness of the controller, its size and robustness. The rubbers on my PS3 controller were finished in about three months while my friend's Xbox controller had its rubbers for over a year and a half. Further, I saw that you can time the use of the Xbox console. You can set a certain amount of time for the console to be used, thereafter the console locks and a pincode is needed to continue play. As a parent, I think this is a very useful feature as it would allow me to control the amount to time my children can play games.

Overall, I think the Xbox is better for gaming. However, the blueray function outweighs its usefulness and value-for-money'ness' compared to the now more affordable PS3. I bought my PS3 for R3,000 at Pick n Pay and it included two wireless controllers. I even watched Avatar on blueray just after I bought it.

I played some poker Yesterday used roughly around 50 megs or so over 8hours without browsing any websites :) with downloads etc, consumed or used over 400 megs that includes also browsing websites etc... All I can say I was impressed back in the days when I used DSL, the connection would lag to the server didn't even happen once was also playing about 4 tables at the same time, play play not real money

well i had problems last week the day i bought my dongle, but over the weekend it was actually extremely stable and i was playing black ops with a steady ping of about 60ms and my speedtest sits around 6mbs down and 3 up.

While I tried to play Guild Wars on 3G (in covered area), it disconnected me often and lags 1k+ms flat, while EDGE has 600ms.

Hi, I live in Bellville Cape Town. For the last 3 days my ping is absolutely crap !!! As inconsistent as you get 140's then 1000's an odd 2000 here and there. Even Starcraft 2 laggs. LOL

Before this it was great. It played COD MW2 like a LAN !

Today the ping is by far the worst I ever experienced. I so hope this is a minor *&^%$# from Cell C.

Just an update on this, still getting reasonable pings to JHB servers, between 80 and 110ms, but ping to cpt still crap anything between 280 and 350ms. I have sent the cellc rep a pm but have still not gotten any answers. Looks like i might have to retire for the blackops league before it even starts :(

I'm a new Cell C 5gb whoosh user. I have to say it goes up and down a lot. I've had it a week and get anywhere from 0.5 mbps to 7 mbps.

I've played a bit of SC2 on the NA server and had some glitch free lag free matches but dropouts have been more common!

Hope they will fix it up. Its good speed mostly but disconnects on gaming and skype etc.

I'm in Century City, CPT

Phone customer support and ask them to check your tower.

In Vanderbijlpark CellC only offer Edge at the moment. Have any of you guys got 1st experience with the gaming on Edge. as far as i understand max d/l speeds are 1500mbps which i doubt would be good enough. Also i can't seem to get clarity of when CellC will be upgrading the infrastructure in this area. The local store says March 2011 , but i've been promised a lot of things before.

What about things such as Port Forwarding, etc. AFAIK this can't be enabled on a 3G network so how does this effect gaming.
