So have you tested it?

Seems to work ok. Need to verify accuracy with a scale though which I'll do tomorrow

So you spent R350 rand on it and you're still going to use a scale? :p

Don't get a hernia! :D

Lol
got some 9s as well.
Main reason to check it for me is that according to the stick we seem to have used a large chunk of a 48 in two months which is way too quick. So just a double check before I recommend it to others is all.

So on the 9, it picked up a level at just under half, weighed at 4kg. Spot on.
It seems to battle to get a reading on 48s, it's quite sensitive to pressure and angle you use it at etc. I got a reading at I'd guess about 20-30cm above the bottom of the cylinder, and weighed it at 11kg.

It will battle with the big cylinders on a bathroom scale. It's all to do with the physics of the matter - if the cylinder leans slightly, you will have a totally different centre of gravity.

Nothing to do with scales..... Just used them to verify the ultrasound reading.

Awesome!

Now to find a supplier.

Erm, how can you use a scale to verify readings if it has nothing to do with scales?
Sigh.
The stick measures the gas level in the bottle. As a once off, I checked the value I got with the stick using a scale.

Our local fishery has gas cylinders which they keep shaking. Why do they do that?

This is what I do. You can feel the liquid swirling inside and you'll be able to tell whether you're at 50% 25% or 5%. This is for a 9kg bottle of course.
