I have a question and maybe someone can answer it for me.
They keep firing these rockets but the death toll is so low and mostly they do no damage, can anyone tell me why they waste their time firing these rockets in the hope 1 rocket out 100 kills one person?
It's a terror campaign, combined with a strategy to provoke Israel in to striking. There are thousands of people who live within range of these rockets, and there are early warning detection systems that give them 10-15 seconds warning of a rocket. Imagine going about your daily business everyday, hearing this goddamned warning blaring, you wonder to yourself 'is it worth it to drop what I'm doing to run for the bombshelter AGAIN.. no.. wait' 5 seconds later BOOM it was nearby but at least it didn't hit you.
You think it's fun to live like that? To lie awake at night and hear the warning broadcast and lie and stare at the ceiling and wonder if a rocket is about to land in your bed?
Without the warning system it would just be random BOOMs, or if you're close to a hit, WHHEEEEEE-BOOM.
It's been going on for years, but because of the simplicity of the rockets the range was limited and so was the population affected. Now they're increasing their rocket range and putting a larger area and more people at risk, and it's getting to a point where major urban populations are under threat. The govt will not let that happen...
