I'm sorry I'm jumping onto this Gears of War craze quite late but I watched a television advert for the game so I can only assume its good (then again, they also tried to sell that crappy Enter the Matrix game with tv space as well). Whats it all about?

Well the good news is that it's safe to say GoW's a good game, the reviews average 90-95% for it. The graphics are absolutely unbelievable (the ad is in game engine) most are calling it "the first really next gen title".

It's usurped Halo 2 as the most played game on XBox live and that's the bad news, it's Xbox 360 only. But it looks like a great reason to get one.

Technically not an FPS, because it's over the shoulder 3rd person, but it's about as close as it gets. The 'revolutionary' thing though is the gameplay mechanic. Described as "Stop and Pop" compared to FPS "Run and Gun", the game relies heavily on cover to keep you alive and add quite a bit of a tactical element over just outright "L337 5k1775" most FPS's demand.

They're keeping this one closed. Even if they did, look at Halo 2. It's taking almost 4 years to make the move.

Yeah it sucks owning a PC for gaming nowadays

I read rumors that it will eventually come to P.C. Doesn't make much difference to me because I probably wouldn't buy it anyway.

But who knows I might still change my mind

Think about it like this. By the time it comes to PC, you would have spent so much upgrading your PC, you could rather have spent it on a 360 an HDTV, Live! and been playing GoW, R6:Vegas Halo 3 and Command and Conquer 3 for years

i saw GOW at dions,PNP,game,reggies and incredible corruption on the weekend.

its out all over now,Go get it !!!

im getting my 360 this weekend,cant wait for the wii,besides ill prolly buy both 360 and wii going for R6 and Gow as my first 2 games,then ill have to sell myself on the road for the rest of my game!!!

I got my 360 today from Incredible and they gave me a choice from a selection of games including GOW.

Thats not an endorsement just something to keep in mind when you're shopping around.

Okay so maybe v.22 is not that smart...

Averages 95% in reviews. Not bad.....
It is worth the Xbox if you are a fan of shooter games.....
My wife won't play it but we often play Dead Or Alive together. Man she loves that game
