Gears of War DRM screwup makes PC version unplayable

While it's not rare for games to ship with bugs every now and again, it's pretty shocking when one ships with an issue that causes the title to stop working for everyone who paid. Those who pirated the game, as usual, continue to play with no issues.

I own the PC version of GoW and it works fine - ok, I played and finished it ages ago - I'm selling it now (check classifieds for those interested)

I guess if I tried to install it now, there would maybe be problems, but nothing a patch won't fix shortly

btw cracked version renders same result as the legit- tried both with dvd in and with noDVD. Just set your date back- not that bad, but you might suffer the checkpoint / savegame loss....
