GeForce Now tested on a 2GB Radeon Pro 555 in South Africa

*cough* *cough*

AMD FX3200 and R7 360x here ( ok 24Gb Ram ) but GFN is AWESOME for me.

I got interested while reading but you lost me at "ran at pings of between 160 and 180 milliseconds".

It's a good service that has a decent potential
I do something similar with my ROG Ally where I stream my games from my 3080 Laptop to wherever I feel like playing in the house

Now you have to apply to join a waiting list on Rain, what is going on, anyone?

Can one access your xb gamepass games too, they just mentioned aceessing owned pc games?

That's interesting.
What kind of bandwidth does it consume?
Is the Laptop wired or also on wifi?

Just posting here for others, my LG C2 TV now has a Geoforce now app. Would love to test it but no option to sign up.

Damnit! I keep forgetting to use my GFN account. I'll try remember again

In case anyone's genuinely curious - I've been using it for about 3 weeks now and even with the international bandwidth issues it's been pretty good. (Basic account or whatever it's called).
Friday and Saturday nights are obviously peak times and can be a bit laggy, but it usually clears within 30 min and then it's good. The rest of the time it's been great.

Currently playing Diablo 4.
Also tested:
COD (hard to know how good it is cos I suck bad)
Halo Infinite - plays smoothly but halo with a kbd / mouse is weird.
Trepang 2 - cult classic FPS - good fun, fast. Played smoothly.
Forza Horizon 5 - had some hiccups but only tried twice briefly.

Oh, and I'm playing on Linux via the Chrome browser plugin - not even a native app!
Still need to test on my Samsung tablet.

It connects to Steam and Xbox Live (I didn't know about the latter. Thought it was only Steam - hence I got Diablo 4 and Forza 'free' on Gamepass).

I'm in the middle of nowhere and have tested on LTE and also super impressed. On Fibre there's virtually no visible latency whatsoever. It's an interesting service, but a bit confusing at first. It's a replacement for a rig, it's not a game library. You have to link your Steam and Epic etc. libraries to play. There are a few free to play options too.
