Have to be careful with random "solar" websites.
Be especially careful to google the cellphone numbers, and how old the site is (do a whois on the domain name).

Quite a few scam sites out there that will sell "cheap" product and steal your money.

So I noticed that when charging the batteries they tend to be stuck on 88% for a while before going to 100 which turns out to be standard pylontech behaviour.

Noticed this morning that it also gets stuck at 20% SOC while discharging. Screenshot_20201205-094550_SOLARMAN%20Business.jpg

Mine also sits for a while at 88%, then rapidly goes up to 100%. Normal Pylontech behaviour I believe. I’ve never taken them down to 20% though

Yip. Same here. Also read it is common behavior.
Also haven’t taken mine down to 20%

Is it just me or are we having a lot more overcast days in GP this year. Or maybe I just haven’t noticed previously.

My Victron ESS holds our gel batteries at 85% when charging, something about waiting for the voltage to peak from what I remember reading and perfectly normal.

Same in CT.

Only managed 34.4kWh yesterday and another overcast day today.

Also think Lanina this year will have more overcast days.

It's only because we're diligently looking at the solar performance everyday :)
Yip. I need my batteries to charge. :)

I finally installed my 3rd battery this weekend. Overnight, my grid usage was less than 2kwh mostly because of heatpump coming on this morning at 5. If I can increase my hot water storage, then this can be eliminated as well.

34 is still a lot. I managed a tad over 20 yesterday. Grid purchase was 5.1 kWh yesterday.

It absolutely feels to me like that's the case.

Unfortunately my Grafana / InfluxDB instance is down, so I'm not collecting long-term data to compare.
