Didn't have a problem with my hexing, but it was a 4 quadrant afaik. Grid target was set to 50w to keep mostly consuming not feeding in

Okay. I guess it’s some that are sensitive and others not.

unless you have the whole house on the essential circuit, the big users like geysers, ovens, stoves etc will often cause a short feed in spike when they turn off.

I see it states -

bi-directional energy Measurement

- so you can feedback into system still or not?

Our Itron has moaned on occasion when we have dipped in to the negative kW despite the 50w grid target set.

What level of moan did you get? Read somewhere people saying that it count the feedback on the screen but not on your usage or something to that extend.

Any reason why my inverter's batteries went from 60% to 0% in a matter of seconds? And stone dead 100% now... usually it lasts all night and I can use the kettle the next morning while the sun recharges batteries.

Power never came on after loadshedding at midnight.
Nothing heavily was running as we make sure no AC / etc is running when there's going to he loadshedding.

Should I contact the installer to come have a look?

Way too little info. Inverter and battery type? How old are the batteries. Was there any current draw?

Short answer, probably a good idea to have the installer come have a look

Everything was installed in October 2020. So just a few months old.

Looking at the graph now on the web app, was steadily drawing at about 0.6kW, which our idle consumption at home.

We have 4x 12V240Ah OPR Deep Cycle batteries if that helps.

Loadshedding was schedules 00:00 to 02:00, but never came back again on afterwards.

Can you post the battery SOC and voltage graphs?

Isn't it normal that the inverter should stop discharge at 60% on deep cycle batteries?

It just gives a warning message about back feeding from what I remember but I haven't noticed anything more than that.

It depends on the inverter, others can be told what to do, others do what is preprogrammed but the parameters wi be different.

There's your problem right there, "OPR Deep Cycle batteries"......

Deep cycle batteries fail quickly, every, single, time!
