CoCT online system is not allowing me to enter my own meter reading this month. Comes up with error that I've exceeded the number of inputs from owner and it must now be read by a meter reader or I must email them a pic of the meter.

Will give it a skip this month to see if they decide to estimate the usage and how much this will be. Next bill should arrive by the 21st.

So with 20kwh usage per month for the last 6 months based on actual readings, CoCT decided to estimate my last month's usage at just over 1 200kwh.

Going to have to see if I can get the meter reader when he does his next round of inspections to come and take an actual reading.

Sunsynk has a display that shows net grid usage for the year. Pretty much zero net grid usage for the year so far. 20210220_135111.jpg

Now the fun and games start.

Don't think so. They've over estimated before and then they just reverse the estimate and put in the actual reading. The next bill should then have actual usage for 60 days - estimated usage of 1 200kwh. Will be paying the full bill which should take the next invoice into a credit for the over estimation.

I have two options. Either get the meter reader when his next in the area to record the actual reading or send them an email with a pic of the meter reading on the 14th of next month which is my billing cycle.

Edit. They also take readings with pics sent via WhatsApp.

Used the WhatsApp for the first time in October but I had already submitted it on their website. Screenshot_20210220-141509_WhatsApp.jpg

I thought that's what you were doing, hence the 20kwh appearing on your bill. If you pay and they give you a credit later, do they pay it back into your bank account or do you have to wait for the credit to run out with it offsetting rates?

They only allow 6 user entered readings on the website and I missed the cutoff to send it through via email or WhatsApp.

The credit remains in the account until the rates catches up. Should be 2 months of credit before I need to pay them again.

Pv production is starting to decline with the average over the last 7 days now at 49kwh per day compared to 58kwh in December and January.

My consumption is however atypical with summer being higher than winter due to aircons in summer and using wood for heating in winter. There are no non-electrical cooling options with fans just not enough.

Temps have been more bearable with the aircons hardly running and pool pump now set to 3 hours per day instead of 5 hours with daily consumption declining from 55kwh to 40kWh. Screenshot_20210223-080702_SOLARMAN%20Smart.jpg Screenshot_20210223-080651_SOLARMAN%20Smart.jpg

Here in Joburg I think PV generation would've been it's worst in Feb, we've had about 5 days of sun.

Yep, I need to go over my data but the end of January, beginning of February and now the end of February have been pretty bad for PV generation.

I also look at sun hours (pv production / array size). January sun hours was 184.92, December 188.06 and February currently at 126.47.
