Pop him an email for a quote
Emailed him and he referred me to Lithium Batteries SA. Will see what they offer.
Lockable steel panel. These things get stolen like there is no tomorrow.

Once the wrong person sees them they will be gone quicker than a Polo parked at Eastgate shopping mall
Will also contact my insurer and ask what they require for it to be covered under my existing policy.

Also waiting . Not sure if it should be household contents or part of house insurance

Question i have the Ellies Trolley 1440 inverter , should i leave it pulled into the mains ?
yes, it will keep the battery charged. you should also simulate a power failure and run it on battery (don't drain battery past 50%) every now and then to "exercise" the battery, maybe once a month.

Found a place not far from me in Somerset West. Just waiting on better price from them on the Dyness 9.6kw battery. Their website pricing was a bit higher than anyone else.

Best quote received for 3.5kw pylontech with wall bracket delivered by Monday.

Can't get the Dyness until 2 weeks. Screenshot_20200716-131646_Adobe%20Acrobat.jpg

Battery options are confusing with vast difference in price and not all listing specs in the same format so very difficult to compare.

Looked at BYD, Pylontech, BlueNova, Dyness, Solar MD, Shoto, Hubble, Narada, TheSunPays, etc.

These are probably half of the battery manufacturers I looked at over the past few weeks.

That's not even considering supercapicitors and where they fit in this equation. Can get a 7kw sirius supercapacitor but haven't found anyone that's actually using these for domestic application and if current inverters on the market can be used with them. From what I've read up on them they an be recharged in a couple of minutes and have a cycle life of 1 000 000 cycles. They are obviously much more expensive than lithium batteries.

Way out of my league! Way over R100 000! But if cycles true, its worth it.
