SOC on pylontech is showing 66% but inverter is still reporting 100% SOC.

Inverter is set to Lithium and connected to the RS485 port on the master battery.

Does anyone know how to read data from the Pylontech batteries when in use, they have ports on the front but the manual gives no info at all on how to get any sort of live data out of them while use. Can and RS485 are distinctly different communication standards. Do not swap.

Anyway, the issue looks fairly clear to me. Both top batteries in the picture have the same address, being zero. Can't make out the bottom one clearly, but probably also set to address 0. For these comm protocols, devices need to have different addresses. Likely what's happening is that all batteries are responding to queries at the same time, preventing the inverter from understanding the values.
Set the addresses on battery 2 and 3 to different values from 1.

With a victron setup i'm connected via the can port



I also have in the back of my head that that was some extra special cable i needed to buy but it maybe because of victron/pylontech connection reasons, i can't remember now.

try different addresses first, as that makes the most sense, seeing there is some bms info getting to the inverter.

The way I read this only the master dip switch on each battery bank needs to be set and not the slaves.

Called it a day for now. Just my brother and I that did the install. Not perfect but secure and decent enough.

16 panels done and 12 more to go.

try different addresses first, as that makes the most sense, seeing there is some bms info getting to the inverter.

Changed dip switch on master battery now and SOC is updating.
