Was also considering the Y connectors but this is CoCT and I needed the surge arrestors and fuses so just decided to go with the combiner boxes.

I have those as well ;) The Ys are on the roof, 2 wires going down into the garage into the surge arrestors and fuses. But I only have 3.3kWp @ 250Vmax so no issues with that capacity

would have liked to see the internal connections.
I think I posted a pic of the internals. There's only space for a + & - cable from the combiner box to inverter. It comes with rest of the internals already connected so I just need to clip on the MC4 connectors to the bottom left.

Really impressed with this inverter.

Now that the CT sensor is connected, the inverter can pick up the power from the grid and can determine the load before the inverter.

I've set it now to limit the output to the house and not just to load and aux output of the inverter.

This pic shows the power the battery is providing to the inverter and how the inverter is distributing the power to the load and house and nothing back to the grid.

Arrows show the direction of the electricity.

It's still combining the aux and load output but will get this resolved in due course.

Technically there is now 3 outputs active in the inverter.

The grid input is now being used as an output to supply loads before the inverter like my outbuilding with pool pumps and well pumps.

The second output is the normal essential load output.

And the third is the aux output for non essential loads like my geyser and aircons. 20200730_203127.jpg

Pity the android app not same, since a generic app and not sunsynk specific?

CT same as the earthbond? As per Sunsynk forum post below?

Not the same. The CT coil is just a sensor that goes around the main feed from the grid. The sensor picks up the current flowing through the wire. Similar to the sensor on the efergy but not wireless.
