Gentoo and iBurst

I wanna setup Gentoo using iBurst without running through a router.
Can it be done? Is there some drivers/configuration I need?

of course it can be done!

just emerge rp-pppoe and hook up the iburst modem to the pc via ethernet.

then run adsl-setup follow the prompts and you should be up and running in no time

Thanx, it's just I've never done Gentoo before so I wasn't sure whether I'd have access to and be able to emerge what I need without Internet access.

I take it rp-pppoe is on the package disc?

yes badboyz it is. It is also available when you boot from the live cD so you can download it that way as well.
