This means you were likely just luckyI bought a pylon battery from them last year which they couldn't deliver as they said there was a supplier problem, but they gave me a full refund and their communication with me was fine.

Are you in the middle of nowhere or something? Powerforum is probably becoming an enclave of sorts where some customers are able to bypass the process and get preferential treatment over others, I am not surprised you are being ignored. If only I could get them to actually quote me. Emailed, whatsapped and called. They don't need the business apparently.
Nope. I'm in CPT in a very central area. Are you in the middle of nowhere or something? Powerforum is probably becoming an enclave of sorts where some customers are able to bypass the process and get preferential treatment over others, I am not surprised you are being ignored.
Look elsewhere.
Monitoring thisWarning to any prospective online customers who are looking at purchasing from Geoty....DONT!!!!!! These guys are 100% confirmed scammers.
I have been waiting a month now for a generator that I purchased from them online.....I canceled the order with them 2 weeks ago and was promised a refund.....not gonna happen..they don't answer phones email...anything.
I have opened up a case with saps and will be forwarded to cyber crimes unit.
Also had my lawyer draught up letter of demand.
I absolutely loath parasites like these....please anyone who can get the message out there to as many contacts as possible that this is a criminal organization.
I have heard some horror stories about geoty. Check out hellopeter and then the powerforum scam thread.Monitoring this
If more people can come forward, I would like to update my scammer thread
Do you have first hand knowledge of this? Are you in the middle of nowhere or something? Powerforum is probably becoming an enclave of sorts where some customers are able to bypass the process and get preferential treatment over others, I am not surprised you are being ignored.

It's my reasonable explanation for the highly contrasting experiences.Do you have first hand knowledge of this?
So speculation and conjecture then. It's my reasonable explanation for the highly contrasting experiences.
Indeed sad. The PFS is hugely popular and very busy. I know for a fact that additional staff have been identified and are being trained to meet the workload.Nope. I'm in CPT in a very central area.
Just pulled the trigger for a 8.8kw inverter, 10 kw panels and 20kw battery - lost sale for them, but i'm probably so small fry so they won't even care. As a referral one would have thought they *may* be more interested, however that didn't seem to be the case. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
They seem to have refunded some people and delivered some orders.I have heard some horror stories about geoty. Check out hellopeter and then the powerforum scam thread.
Anyone order from wholesale solar before
I have been looking for lithium ion batteries for a new solar setup for a while now. I'm about to buy some pylontech us3000 batteries, but the found the following batteries by clicking on a google add: http://solarenergyrsa.co.za/?product=12kwh-lithium-ion-batteries-with-10yrs-warranty-last-chanc...powerforum.co.za
I had phone calls and Whatsapp's with Steve - sent pics of house, my usage, my roof orientation etc and heard nothing back. My brother who was a customer and had used them before then reached out, Steve contacted me again, asked for the same info and then nothing once more.Indeed sad. To be fair, it's a similar experience with most reputable suppliers/installers at the moment.I had phone calls and Whatsapp's with Steve - sent pics of house, my usage, my roof orientation etc and heard nothing back. They're going to lose business as a result, but maybe they'll only start to care when it becomes quiet (and lucky for them that doesn't seem to be the case).
I second this. A reputable place near me also ignored my emails and requests for quotes. They're just too busy. If anyone needs installers around EL, just shout, I can recommend one.To be fair, it's a similar experience with most reputable suppliers/installers at the moment.
I can only speak to my own experience with Solar Advice. To place your order and schedule your installation is a breeze. It might take about a month or so to get an installation date given the current demand.
However to get post-installation support is a bit of a mission. I've been trying to get my CT sorted out for 2 months now. But all the teams have been scheduled and prioritised to installation, that support is now lagging, such is the huge demand at the moment.
I suppose PFS could start prioritising order fulfilment as a starting point, which means lagging in other areas as above. But everyone is struggling at the moment. There's a narrow exit (Eskom to solar), and a crowd of people trying to get through it. The other side is struggling to cope with the influx...
Nice, in CPT - but I'm happy to revert back with my review of my installer for the CPT folks. I got 4 quotes, 3 on-site visits and selected based off that:I second this. That system is going to seriously kick ass. Congrats!Nice, in CPT - but I'm happy to revert back with my review of my installer for the CPT folks. I got 4 quotes, 3 on-site visits and selected based off that:
18x 540w JA panels
1x 20/16kw Freedom battery
1x 8.8kw Sunsynk inverted
I can't fit 2x vertical panels on my roof, so I have to do 3x horizontal panels in a set (of 6) to make space. 2x sets of 9 panels in series - should hopefully be able to start wiring tomorrow and then sort out panels after tomorrows rain.
Both pics are at the same location, facing the house - to show roof / orientation. Tree's on the right will be trimmed back tomorrow for sun.
I'm a little jealous of that 10/16... and 18 panels - very nicely specced system.Nice, in CPT - but I'm happy to revert back with my review of my installer for the CPT folks. I got 4 quotes, 3 on-site visits and selected based off that:

Your roof faces SW? From the shadows it looks like it is facing N.Nice, in CPT - but I'm happy to revert back with my review of my installer for the CPT folks. I got 4 quotes, 3 on-site visits and selected based off that:

Interestingly a Master Sunsynk installer just told me he refuses to do any installation on new hardware if he didnt provide the hardware.I second this. A reputable place near me also ignored my emails and requests for quotes. They're just too busy. If anyone needs installers around EL, just shout, I can recommend one.
That's me facing the roof (compass is at same location / time from where I took the picture).Your roof faces SW? From the shadows it looks like it is facing N.
