Geoty.co.za - who are they? Elaborate scam?

Nice, in CPT - but I'm happy to revert back with my review of my installer for the CPT folks. I got 4 quotes, 3 on-site visits and selected based off that:

18x 540w JA panels
1x 20/16kw Freedom battery
1x 8.8kw Sunsynk inverted

I can't fit 2x vertical panels on my roof, so I have to do 3x horizontal panels in a set (of 6) to make space. 2x sets of 9 panels in series - should hopefully be able to start wiring tomorrow and then sort out panels after tomorrows rain.

Both pics are at the same location, facing the house - to show roof / orientation. Tree's on the right will be trimmed back tomorrow for sun.
I usually refer panel orientation as Portrait and Landscape, same as a PC monitor.
Here's a cool planning tool, requires registration though. Yesterday I populated the roofs of 3 random houses with it

Interestingly a Master Sunsynk installer just told me he refuses to do any installation on new hardware if he didnt provide the hardware.
His reason is that he didnt make any markup on the hardware and if something goes wrong he doesnt want to support it if the problem might be faulty hardware.
I bought from Steve at Power forum store.
Good point, though if I were him I'd just cherge for my time. Can't lose.

Similar experiences - great prices so hard to ignore what seemed to be a legit company. However I ordered an inverter and was promised a certain delivery date. They emailed to say they couldn't do it but promised another date, in time for my installation. New date comes and goes and they say they still don't have stock but ask for my banking details to do a refund. Provided this but no payment comes, and they went completely AWOL after that, not responding to any emails or calls. Eventually disputed the payment with my bank to try to get the money back.

At least you got it back

This could be another one https://griin-e.co.za
Griin-e.co.za looks related to Bovua.co.za
Pricing exactly the same.... if that doesn't ring alarm bells....

...even the structure is identical - it's the same site with a different wordpress theme.

Both using domaincontrol.com name servers
Both scream SCAM
Their (Bovua) phone number is registered to ICT Globe Management according to Truecaller:

This is what their page looks like:

ICTGlobe looks legit... the rest look like a rushed job.

Just a heads up of things I noticed these companies that start up all of a sudden and scream scam. They usually pump a kak ton of money into google marketing and really not worried if they pay that R100 or R1000 for a click because they will be the first add shown on top so the deal looks good, but there is going to be an unlucky person to grad that deal unfortunately. Even if they spent R5K on that click they still sold the battery worth R20K . Just what I have noticed being in this online retailer space over the years. Just some info for future spenders.

Anybody know this company?

What's with them is that they are being aggressively marketed by Google. @Jan there's a story here. Most of the Google shopping results in this space are dodgy. How well can the average person trust Google shopping results?
