Well, we had a choice - hop on to the back of that scooter or walk 10 km in a flooded Victoria Island.
You do know that at certain times of the year Lagos streets all become waterways? And if the driver of the vehicle you are in is an idiot, he floods the engine and then it stops.

We had a ridiculous situation once. Flight between Abuja and Kano cancelled. Flew to Lagos hoping to get a different flight. Ended up flying KLM to Paris and then back to Kano ----

The thread is full of links --- but as to which specific ones this stupid minister is referring to, only she knows. But then my first encounter with that one at one of the many "meetings" between Telkom management and the ANC at their then-favourite haunt on the Vaal river, showed how dim she was.

We all do, I started compiling a list a few days ago but abandoned it after reaching over 20 because it became so tiresome and worthless.
