Germany is considering issuing an arrest warrant for Bishop Richard Williamson over his controversial claim that no Jews died in the gas chambers during the Second World War.

The 69-year-old British-born bishop made the comments during an interview with Swedish television last year at a seminary for the ultra-orthodox Society of Saint Pius X in the Bavarian village of Zaitzkoven, near Munich.

Under German law denial of the Holocaust is illegal and an investigation was launched by prosecutors after the interview was broadcast last month.

He should go to Iran. They're more than happy to propagate that belief

LOL... I think the guys should be isolated for his stance and probably kicked out of the church if he harbours racist sentiments... but arresting him. That is going a bit far. he is no different to all the other conspiracy theorist crackpots.

I disagree in principle to Germany's holocaust laws (you should be allowed to be an idiot), although I have very little love for this particular bishop.

Germany has to have the holocaust laws, because of what happened there, it's not like here in the old SA with apartheid. This was government planned, ordered and carried out mass murder in the millions. To not have the token of the Holocaust Laws, would allow neo-nazist and other trash to start playing fast and loose with the true.
The Laws make it a crime to deny what happened, to stop it from ever happening again. Prosecute the idiot bishop for his crime and if jail time is needed, lock him up.
