The "solution" is far more obvious. What we have now, has not been "solved", it was "managed" by throwing money at it. Lots and lots and lots and lots and lots of money, inefficiently. The problem is still there, and will manifest again.You are not understanding his problem, he is fixated on the past, in his mind the solution was not to have the railway fixed and the service restored, but instead to dwell on the problem and keep on asking idiotic questions.
All he is interested in is moaning.
