Thread title sure is misleading. More appropriate title is:
Telkom boasts about gaining 44 000 adsl users in 7 months, a magnificent feat requiring that 314 new lines be activated per working day.
In a similar story, teklom are proud of their almost 1 million rand a day profit margins.

Today, in SA, ADSL is mainly used for basic internet access, for which the fastest of its services is more than adequate, Samuels says.

Thanks to the Telkom Morons we have really had a choice.....

He says Telkom’s vision is to have 850 000 t a million broadband users by 2010.

I was kind of hoping there would be around 0 to 3 broadband users by 2010.

I got it wrong, I thought they were trying to get RID of their customers. :D

“We are required by regulation to install the service of a qualifying customer within 30 working days in areas where there is coverage.”

Does this statement imply that TELKOM has chosen to comply with certain parts of the regulation and disregard the other.
What happened to complying with regulation which stipulates that local bandwidth can not be capped!!!!
