Getting Guptas to South Africa could take more than 5 years

Extraditing the Gupta brothers from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to face prosecution for their involvement in state capture could take more than five years and cost South Africa a lot of money.

That is according to feedback given by justice minister Ronald Lamola to City Press following the UAE's release of the Gupta brothers and cancellation of their arrest warrant in February 2023.

No will from anyone to bring them to justice.

The most determined people to want them to face justice are the Taxpayers.

It's beyond me how these high profile cases are handled with such impunity.

Get the brothers to mention corruption at eskom and it'll be done in two ticks

Sure, like Zuma would say he had NO hand in this.

They are friend NO more, but money still go from one pocket to the other...

They will never be extradited. They know too much, from both sides there is corruption. The Guptas are not who we should be pursuing. They are just run of the mill criminals. It's the government cadres who sold us all out - they should be held for treason. If they had not entertained this criminality then it wouldn't matter about the Guptas.

Can't OUTA or Afriforum pursue this given that the NPA / SAPS / anc are incompetent / lack any urgency

No man, I was joking about the ANC going after de ruyter

Look I am all for law and order, but sometimes you need your intelligence services pull a proper stunt to send a message. Assassination might be a step to far, but a proper kidnapping and return to SA might be in order.

Yet we welcome the UAE with open arms and even let them land at their own airport.
:cautious:

I don't think we should put too many barriers up for people who want to spend stupid money in SA. I don't know why people complain so much about that royal visit.
