Getting Norton Files deleted

Hi I need help on a laptop Vista OS & Norton had been preinstalled I uninstalled it and put Avast on. But under Program Files are still Norton Folders and states access denied. Now I hate Norton & and want to get them Deleted. Tried in a Dos window to change attributes but no luck , anyone her who could help ?

There is a symantec removal tool for XP, not sure if it will work in Vista. Worth googling it....
