Getting rid of 2 vehicles (SO's family's more or less abandoned them when going overseas)

1: 2006 Fordka, has a few leaks and 2 dents (nothing major).
2: 2003 VW Kombi - has a problem where its leaking oil apparently but can drive. Body is a little shabby

Was considering fixing them up before selling but they are not exactly prime vehicles anyway so might lose less money selling as is.

How much could I get for these 2 as a trade in (If I could find a dealer to take them)

I know its tough considering no pics or specific details but just ballpark.

I am hoping to get 50k for both... thoughts?

How are you going to get the transfer of ownership papers sorted if the owners are overseas ?

Hmmm fordka was transferred into my GFs name before her dad left. Dunno about Kombi. There must be a process for this?

Does anyone know how to change ownership from overseas? Can't you just sign over power of attorney or something?

i had a similar dilemma recently - also a car abandoned at my home by a relative leaving the country.
they forgot to leave me the blue form.

had a copy of their id book mailed to me then printed it out, then completed all the details on the form as the owner would do.
handed both the blue & yellow forms to the buyer along with a copy of relative's id book.

change of ownership took place without problem or question
