Getting "that" number...

None of this beating around the bush IMO, it never works as well as being straightforward. Something like "I really enjoy chatting with you and would love to do it again sometime". 9/10 she will ask for your number then...;)
 
Dude..this girl sounds quite Ace,and she's making attempts to socialize and have you meet people from her circle. Quite a big thing

Screw being sneaky. She's shown an interest. Be direct.

Tell her - I enjoy talking to you alot but it's hard messing about with a keyboard all the time. Here's my number - xxxxxxxxxx. Now that you've got mine can I get yours incase you forget to phone? ;)

By the way, some people find silent, shy, softspoken people mysterious and interesting. Capitalise on that.

Not that I'm hinting or hitting on Identity but I'm quite an extrovert & I love the shy softspoken types. All these ra ra ra men who think they are the best thing since Adam really rub me up the wrong way (if they even get that close to begin with). The majority of 'shy softspoken guys' are actually way more genuine then their loud brash fellow men (in my experience anyway).

The rest of the shy quiet types are serial killers.

ok back to the OP: getting a number is easy ... phoning her and keeping a conversation with her ... thats not so easy ... soooo ... rethink your approach maybe ... i prefer face to face interaction to get to know her a little bit more and see her laugh or something ... and then tell her "its was fun, love to do this again" ... if it was fun indeed ... dont try too hard ...

you appear to have a sense of humour so that should be your winning card. Make her smile consistently and she will want YOUR number. You need to put yourself in a position where you have the upper hand, not her. Make her ask you by throwing in some subtle, humorous suggestions...
 
I haven't read the blog, but it depends on how long you've been chatting to her for.

I mean asking straight after the 'a/s/l' is a little soon. Rather wait for her to log on a few more times before attempting.

Also, don't private chat her first all the time. It's a bit of give and take.

Servers also make a different : the girls on zanet are pretty forward ...
