Hi,

As some of you know, I'm selling my LG 42" plasma. I didn't take note of the resolution when I bought it, but subsequently found out it was 1024 x 768.

Someone came to me the other day and said it was only a 852 x 480 - otherwise he'd consider. Now the thing is I've advertised it at 1024 x 768 , as I'm sure it was that!

Is there ANY way of finding out it's native resolution? Even using computer software?

I've googled the model, but couldn't really find much on it (42PC7RVH)

Manual doesn't say anything :(

Some sites say 852 x 480 and others say 1024 x 720. LG need to get back to me too.

On page 27 of the manual downloaded from the LG website I get the following information:
NOTE
It’s supported to 848x480, 852x480 in VGA
modes. (VGA Models)
It’s supported to 1280x768, 1360x768,
1366x768 in XGA modes. (XGA Models)

I however do not really know what it means.

When it says "supported" it only means the graphic processor can handle those res.

You need the native panel resolution.

Yea - I know it can accept, but I do need the native. Thanks geezer!

Surely if I plug a PC in the VGA port, it'll autodetect? I think if I do that, it says 1024 x 768

:)I hear you there...
The 720p panels support 1080p so maybe the above is an indication that its not natively 720p?
