Getting tired of ungeared dps in HC runs.

Damn last night i had warrior in my group who was doing 300dps with quest rewards from borean.
Damn i can live with it if someone does at least 800dps but 300dps.

Never seen a tank or healer try this in HC run tank know if they try it they will wipe on first pull healers 2 why do you get dpsers taking these chances?

This dude said he has done many HCs few day back i had rogue doing 500 dps too.
I think you can do 300 dps pre tbc?
Yeah and his buddie got upset when i told him his dps was way too low for HC runs.Told me his weapon skill was still lvling so i said put something on that you got skill with his dps went up to 400dps.

Seems like dpsers are taking the free ride on HCs.
And then you still get them shouting heal me ffs with there 14k health getting one shotted.

I think 1.3 k dps is ok for HC what do you guys think.
I am doing 1.5k as tank.

DPS'ers have always had it easy by being able to slack behind without causing a wipe - unlike tanks and healers.

I did Violet hold HC the other night with a druid cat dpsing about 1200 and a combat rogue on 800. Our DK tank was pushing 1800 with myself on 2500. They were also sitting with quest greens and lvl 70 epics. Heroics are not to be taken lightly... the easier ones such as UK and Draktharon are no means an indication that you can down the snake boss in Gundrak or the ugly spider in Azul Nerub.

Crickey, we had a DK in our group doing 400dps and when I asked him what was wrong he said his one sword had no durability... and this from the start of the instance? Worst of all he wasn't even concerned by this. I _ALWAYS_ carry a spare dagger with me as a rogue. (In fact I now have 2 full sets(pve/pvp) of gear/weapons on me at all times just in case) *thank you 22slot Obs bag *

What i've started doing to avoid this is have www.warcrafter.net open on my one screen to do a gearcheck on any pug before we invite them for a run.

With enrage counters becoming all the more popular, DPS have become a lot more responsible for avoiding wipes and need to know their rolls regarding boss tactics.

Just keep in mind, tanks and healers are always in demand - DPS'ers scavenge for any group spot they can get - since there are so many of them around. That's why you'll find a great deal of them being chancers who leach on the group in order to get nice drops.

Something I just noticed:

On the tanking board there are a large amount of threads along the lines of "can I tank XYZ in this gear" or "how can I get the last few defense rating".

On the healing board there are many posts along the same lines "can I heal heroics yet" and so on.

On the DPS boards it is all "Who is the best DPS class", not "is my gear up to heroic standard".

That's a bit of a generalization (obviously)

But on the rogue forums especially there are constant links to armorcrafting sites and gear indexing that shows the easiest/most economic/optimal gear for the pre-raiding scene. i.e. lvl 78-80 blues / rep rewards and so on.

Since there are a lot more dps classes than tanking/healing the majority will always look tainted by 'tards.

The amount of abuse a low DPS person gets makes anyone want to DPS as hard as possible. Personally on my mage I try to beat every other DPS I group with. Not possible most times as some classes have much higher DPS then me mage

You get a good dpsers in pugs when your REALLY lucky mostly its 1 good dpser out of the 3.

There are as many bad tanks and healers as dps, but because dps make up 60% of most groups it's easier to see the bad ones. In addition bad tank/healer usually a wipe guarantee.

One of the recount stats I always enjoy is the activity stat, shows up sleepy dps from a mile!

On bad dps had a ret pally fill a spot in Naxx the other day did 795 on Loatheb....how bad can you get!

Hope that was in 10 man cause to do under 800 dps in naxx with all those buff youll have to be naked or only auto attacking.And all the mobs is undead hes pala.

This was stated over and over again,let it go,boomroker's back and he's calmed down the rants so i'll let it slide. As for dps,my ALT in offspec blue gear ( quest stuff mostly,not even rep gear ) retridin does 1800 in a heroic,pretty slacky but holy hells,under 1000? Not even our freshest of freshly dinged 80's goes below 1200 on boost-runs in naxx ( we take 2 heavy hitters and rest 80 newbies and nuke through naxx to gear them )

ya damn i also have same problem,but i see epic geared ppl doing 1200dps i was like wtf? people think gear is the only thing that plays a roll,they dont know nothing about spell rotation etc.i only have 10 man gear than i out dps a 25 man geared rogue or shammy with ease,just because of skill,so learn to play your class or dont play it at all

Yeah dude that was me.
I still check on Warhammer from time to time my account on WAR is still active like every second month waiting for few thing to be fixed and added before i go back but yes wow is the one i play mainly now.

They are making great progress in War alot of performance problems has been fixed and really cool stuff is added.
And the game is still not dead like many of you said it would be.

But that's all ill say about War for now know it touchy subject in WOW forums.RUN!! forest RUN!!!

Boom, I think your post from the EU forums sums it up very well.

If you want to Tank or Heal you have to be very careful about gear choices and you need to focus constantly while running instances.

Even eezi-mode heroics like Nexus require concentration as a Tank as opposed to DPS who can slack without it being an immediate wipe.
I seldom run more then 2 heroics back to back because I always feel tired afterwards.
After a night of Raiding i either quest or log my Pally and level because I'm really not keen to go Tank again for an hour or so.

That being said, I really really enjoy tanking.
Tanking the harder stuff like Malygos and Sarth+Drakes is such an awesome amount of fun.
Since Malygos Phase 1 only needs 1 Tank I was DPS'ing the other night and I really was finding it so completely boring.
Thankfully I got asked to take over and Tank at which point the Raid became tons of fun again.

I never ask for stat i ask them dps on single target.But sometimes i just invite but that could be bad if you got crappy dps is mean so much more work for tank and healer they both gota last longer in boss fights.

Heal has to heal till hes oom and the instance take twice as long MB after each pull cause thing take too long to die.
