Getting tired of ungeared dps in HC runs.

one thing i hate the most as a healer is ret paladins who think they can off-tank in herioc's

had one the other night who said he wants to tank in his ret gear, i think he lasted 8sec and died

I prefer numbers and parses to see what happened for myself These days a pretty valid opener is throwing shield-slam/block/heroic strike/revenge/sunder combo to unload more threat faster but slowing the buildup after the spike

on my Warrior I do the following.

Charge, Thunder clap, Shouts, Sunder sunder sunder, shield slam and then DPS rotations.

But hey, that's just me

See thats a slow-threat building rotation that steadily grows,with the insane lvl of dps some people have,Front-loading tanking ( a-la Pala ) is becoming popular. Build a threat lead fast by unloading high-threat moves,then apply sunders and debuffs whilst resuming standard rotation

I've had a lock Full-well critstreak and pull a mob off me in the first few seconds while doing normal Slow-building moves,so I'm also starting to rather open with high-threat spike moves like Shield slam to prevent an instapull after a spike heal or critstreak

Naxxramas.

Buy gear upgrades from the different Reputation vendors,trade emblems in for Tier tokens and other upgrades,grind heroics for more upgrades,enchant and gem your stuff etc

The only instancing I do of late is with guildies. I often watch my son pug and it is frustrating. He gets frustrated, the group gets frustrated with each other and often they just disband.

At least with guildies you know what you are getting. You not only know their classes but you know their playstyles too. You tend to immediately pick up on when one of them (*cough* lock *cough*) has accidently drawn too much aggro and you can hit your *oh ***** (My case a NS + HT) button and heal them.

I was actually shocked to watch my son pug on Sunday night and the group wiped so many times yet they didn't seem bothered about it. It was almost as if it was the NORM to wipe this much.

I suggest you buy all the flasks and food needed to max out you DPS, if you don't do enought DPS atleast they would see that you are doing everything you can.

And read up on boss strats so that you dont die so that your total damage looks better

Option1:
Buy gear.

As far as epic gear goes...I bought:

1) Dagger
2) Cloak
3) Shoulders
4) Ring
5) Amulet
6) Waist

lvl80 blues:
1) Boots
2) 2xdaggers (which I use over my epics)

There really is A LOT of crafted epics in Wotlk that you can get your hands on. Just ask around. Many crafters even do it for free if they get a skill point out of it.

Option 2: (Use when option 1 is exausted)

Grind for rep to grant epic gear.


There's no reason that you can't have 1/3 - 1/2 of your gear at epic level without doing heroics. In fact, heroic drops only got me:

1) Leggings
2) Boots
3) bracers

The rest of the stuff I bought with honor/emblems.

Sure I spent 8000g on gear and enchants, but within 1 week of hitting 80 I was in the top 3 DPS in our guild.

wyrmrest flask gives 125 extra spell power for 2hrs and food(can't remember names exactly) give another 35 that is 160 spellpower extra spellpower

Leveling cooking or buying food also helps tons!

There is food for melee dps that grants buffs of 80 extra AP for an hour. That's pretty impressive for such a cheap item.

I have AP of 3350 unbuffed and 5300 buffed getting between 800k and 1800k damage so not sure where that lies in the thick on things

Grab recount and see what your misses/crit counts are,are you at least poison-capped?

takes about 1-2 weeks to get top Preraiding/ dps/badge gear

Will get it had a look at our server stats for best gear I am 1269 out of 9768 people on my gear stats so that not 2 bad at all. No not poison capped

anyway Im just trying to rile these noobs up. Literally everybody in wotlk nowadays is bragging about his own DPS and how the moron next to him with his super epics lol did 1 DPS.

Never played Horde on Dentarg boet
but I was whit you on SM runs where you played whit all the doggys

I only started WOW since WotLK. I can remember my first heroic. I had no idea what was going on. I was in mostly blue gear at the time. My DPS was very bad. The thing I had in my favour was being a full on frost mage. Snaring trash was my saving grace. We all had to be a n00b at some stage. This is why when you PUG, you should expect trouble. Sometimes you are lucky and have an awesome group, other times you have an 'epic fail' group filled with n00bs.

You should never PUG HoL, Oculus, AN or even VH for that matter. Save those instances for guild runs. And as mentioned earlier, if you instanced alot during levelling you would have built up a good friends list. Stick with those guys. Even the best of groups have wipes. Wipes are part of WOW. Learn to live with it The worst is having a wipe and half the PUG quits, esp. if its a daily

Any fury warriors here to help out?

My 2c on Fury warriors that I know nothing about:

1) You're missing gems in your sockets
2) You have a sub lvl 70 green trinket. Get something - anything.
3) Your other trinket + rings are all low level items - look for rep rewards & AH. You can score awesome ones.
4) You are lacking enchants and glyphs.
5) Make sure your gear is dps and not tank specced.

Dont take pala healer
i found that priests and druid are alot better vs Loken.
