Howdy howdy.

I posted this problem about a month ago wrt my Guild Wars problem (THIS TIME I GOT PICCIES!), well at least this problem is only noticeable in Guild Wars, other games seem to run just fine. Well, Civ4 is about the only other game installed.

When i enter new maps everything is "blocky". See below.

Once i change the ingame graphics to high then back down again it clears itself. This also clears when i take an ingame screenshot. See below.

MSI 875P Neo Motherboard
Northwood 2.8
Legend 6600GT 128MB.

Updated the Drivers too latest available but no luck.

Intermittently it will also bomb out complaining that DirectX is required. At this stage Windows then runs in 16 colours and the only thing i can do is reboot the machine.

Any ideas?

my advice to anyone who has installed a new vga recently is to reload windows fresh with your current hardware

then load up everything

download extreme xtreme g drivers

that should solve the problem

also give us your setup like your mobo ram cpu etc

Did you remove the existing drivers before you upgraded any drivers? Nvidia recommend/demand that you remove previous drivers before adding new ones.

Yeah ....

Completely uninstalled drivers, then ran latest forceware updates + reboot.

My first thought is that maybe the textures aren't being loaded correctly so maybe time for a new card? (this besides DX probs)

It's *always* time for a new card, even if it doesn't solve the problem :)

Heh Big Fly, not yet, will run that tonight @ home, will post results then.

grin @ luke777, saving for my lappy :D

The Dell XPS M1710 is probably out of my reach but rockdirect.com has some nice deals on the Extreme CTX laptop range.
