You would think people are dropping like flies o_O
Estimated 17000 hospital admissions per year in the UK, and...

"More than a quarter of the G users who took the survey knew someone who had died from the drug. Many had lost several loved ones to G, so the overall number of deaths reported in the survey was 1,910."

Or maybe you need some comprehension to go with that reading of what you thought this thread is about?
OP took a date rape drug in a recreational situation with his partner. Cool story.

That's all the comprehension I need, thanks.

Still not dropping like flies. Article is a tad sensationalist tbh

Except the article doesn't claim that people are dropping like flies, it claims that there is a hidden epidemic and I think 17000 hospital visits per year and 1910 (known, probably vastly underestimated) deaths just in the UK qualifies. Australia has had a huge up-tick in GHB deaths recently as well.

GHB is extremely dangerous as the difference between a good dose and a hospital visit (or worse) is very minor, coupled with the delayed onset which makes people take a dose, feel nothing, take another dose, etc etc. Also, withdrawal can cause fatal seizures.

IMHO, it's an all round bad idea.

From the poll you'll see most people agree it's a bad idea.

So we had another GHB night Saturday. Just have to say, it was AWESOME! Unlike the other few times though we went to bed @ 01:00 in the morning instead of going at it until the sun comes up. But the real reason why I am posting is this.

1. My partner have had body aches and pains for a while, and since the GHB it is gone (dont know how long it will last though). Has to be said though too that he was ... erm ... maneuvered into all kinds of positions so perhaps that helped loosen the muscles too. Not sure, but his aches is gone for now.

2. For the last few weeks I have been having extreme anxiety. To the point where you feel like vomiting all the time and you have that extreme knot in your tummy and you struggle to focus on a work task kind of anxiety. I tried 5-HTP to see if it helps, but it did not help and made me so nauseous I cant take it actually. After the GHB the anxiety has also pretty much gone away.

Anyway, just a observation.

Meanwhile, in the USA ....

"Increasingly in recent years, men who were last seen leaving a party, a bar or event where they were drinking, then go missing and are later discovered dead, are more likely to have the date-rape drug GHB or similar chemical in their system, autopsies find."

Just read the entire thread and see what THIS thread is actually about before you post. Besides, I dont understand how GHB is used as a date rape drug because the taste of it alone is revolting. No alcholic drink can mask it. If you drink it, you going to know it.

I cant really explain or comment on the first point but the second I can understand.
I used to be a habitual drug and alcohol user for close to 20 years. This went through varying phases and levels of abuse from the occasional user to "getting dangerously close to a problem user"

In the good phases though, it was like having a night like that was a reset. It put things into perspective, it strengthened relationships, it gave me true downtime and I felt a really good release from it. For a period afterwards (past the drug afterglow, Im talking a good few weeks) I was happier, less stressed and just felt better about things.

Good on you guys for calling it quits at a good time instead of trying to force more out of the night. Those are the best when you are satisfied, had a killer evening and still wake up and dont feel like death.

I also think it was a good call. We did not cum at all and even though we called it a night without cum'ng we were content, satisfied, happy and just very chilled. It is hard to describe, but we basically decided to call it a night, went down for a last smoke, brushed our teeth and had more cooldrink (important to stay hidrated) and climbed into bed feeling very ... gosh...what is the word....just happy and talked about what we had done, what we both felt during the night and then drifted off holding each other. I do think it served as a emotional release of daily stress and built up anxiety. I think it is because when we have our G nights, nothing else matters, he is the only person I think of and the only person and thing that matters. Work, finances, daily troubles, it just does not exist during the night and you can let go and release. Dont know if it makes any sense.

Totally man. I never did a lot of G but used mdma as a kind of therapy for my partner and I and even as a group of friends just strengthening the friendship bond.
Like most things I eventually ruined it with excess and stupidity, but when they were good, man they were the absolute best times.

The relationship / bonding experience from these kinds of experiences can be so valuable and has quite a bit of studies backing them up now (like ptsd with mdma therapy).
I dont see anything wrong with it and I have even encouraged it sometimes with couples who need to communicate and appreciate each other more without the rest of life and each other messing it up.

Glad it rocked and stay safe!

OH, and people saying that yo wont remember taking GHB because it causes memory loss? Perhaps that is true if you dont know what you are doing or something, but I remember every little detail of Saturday night. Again, thats why I dont understand as people saying it is a date rape drug, because it does not affect my memory at all. If anything, I have had more memory loss on alchohol than GHB. But I guess it could be when people mix GHB with booze.

It is amazing the bonding and closeness you feel. And for me it is not fake feelings it brings to the fore, it for me is really what I do feel, but it just lowers my inhibitions to show it to him more freely, and the same with him.

We will stay safe. We always plan it well ahead of time. No drinking of alcohol or any kind of sedative substances the entire day and have lots of cooldrink on hand and drinking yoghurt on hand to keep hydration and sugar levels up. If one passes out, put them on their side and monitor breathing and check for very slow heartbeat.

Guys, I just want to say again, I am talking about my own experience and am curious to hear about yours. I AM NOT ADVOCATING THAT YOU DO THIS.
