And lots of patience, I am still trying to get through the first mission, but haven't really had a chance to play it properly.

Gave it a go on the weekend.
I like it, the AI cover themselves very well when moving together so you don't have to baby sit to much.

True to GR form you don't have to pump 200 rounds into something before it goes down. One well aimed burst and adios! Same goes for you though :)

Enjoying the first mission a lot. Its lekker tactical. One review said that if you don't plan ahead and move precisely you will end up loading the saved games alot, they were not kidding.
It slows the movement down but ups the tension levels so I really dig it.
I'm biased though, the Ghost Recon series has always been my favourite tactical shooter.

i have to be honest but the X360 version of GRAW is more fun. I also own the PC version but its somewhat slower pace and finicky control routines hinder the overall atmosphere, in contrary to the console version which has no issues in dealing with the amount of detail and ease of squad management.

although the squad management part is VERY simplified when compared to the PC version. For one, why the heck cant you heal friendly squadmates in the PC version?

does it have online support now?

after several heavy-weight patches which had new maps the PC version has been well improved for online matches. though i am not aware of SGS hosting any GRAW servers.

Hi my name is Kompete, and I'm an addict

I am not a FPS fanatic, prefer other strategy games like CIV, AOE, etc.

But I just happened to buy a new pc (2GB DDR, 7900GT, etc) since I couldn't play AOE3 properly with my older laptop, and the supplier slipped in GRAW for free (i did not even ask for it)...

...so I installed it just to stress test the hardware...now I cant stop playing it...I completely forgot about AOE3...everyday after work I head straight for the game...I cant help myself...what shall I do?

Apparently the dedicated servers are a bit fragile, so thats kept stuff back a bit.

I know the guy who was in chargh of GR for SGS and he is none too impressed as yet, but I spose we'l see what Rage brings to that party.
