Giga 200 (50 + 150) Prepaid Sim

Thank you for posting this. I was about to type up a step-by-step email, with screenshots, showing users DTBA and Cell_C what the Giga 200 Prepaid bundle is, and what is available at the link that Cell_C provided. It boggles my mind that the two mentioned users assume that I'm either too lazy or stupid to go to the Cell C website and click on Shop -> Recharge -> Buy data bundles -> 365 days...

Either that or Cell C's marketing department have managed to confuse their own people sufficiently by having different names for the same package on the "Plans" and "Shop" pages.

Can these Giga100/200 packages be re-Ricad into someone elses name? I've given up on my Cell C giga 200 package.

Not available in Cresta - and be careful what you buy!

I've had the Giga 200 for the last couple of years.

When I went to renew it a few days ago at the Cresta branch I was told that it was no longer available, but that there was only a 50GB anytime (R1 099.00) or a 200GB anytime (R1 999.00) – a shock that it has doubled in price!

Sadly I returned today to purchase the 200GB package and gave the teller (Faleka Jacobs) last year’s invoice so that I would be sure of the correct service number. She pointed out that that package was no longer available, I said I understood but that wanted the new one.

Unfortunately there was a misunderstanding – she assumed 50GB whereas I wanted the 200GB package (which is what I had in total before). As I left the store I noticed on my credit card receipt that I had only been charged for the 50GB, but on returning to Ms Jacobs she said there was nothing she could do.

The manager came over and agreed that they cannot change a data package, whether by refunding the 50GB in full and issuing a new 200GB package or upgrading by my paying the R900 difference.

I have not started using the package (I had only had it for a few minutes when I returned) and the problem is clearly due to a misunderstanding. I don’t understand why Cell C would rather lose a customer than earn more by allowing an upgrade.

Thanks Cell C for my 3 years trouble free Giga/365 packages for only R999 (or even R899 at times).

And thanks to Cell_C for making it clear that Giga200 is not available anymore, but I have another question. My Giga/365 is expiring next month and I am facing a dilema whether to waste all remaining data for stupid torrents or this package can be extended by purchasing another bundle as it is advertised.

I want to be sure that purchasing another data bundle extends validity of my Giga-100/365, please.

@Cell_C. That's correct. 150+50GB I was using, also 100GB all time, both for R999. Now the first one is discontinued and 100GB package has increased 60%, I cannot afford it anymore.

Giga 200 is fine, but I don't need so much data, that's a problem.
