Giga is a lying, stealing, corrupted little turd.

That kind of language would be very unbecoming of a state President, it's better if it comes from laymen such as yourself.

We normal people call "that kind of language" The Truth.

But hay, I do understand that speaking the truth is very difficult for people coming from the ANC, especially when you are part of their leader corps!

Cyril has done in few months what JZ failed to do in 5 years. The man has barely settled in his new office and is already branded a failure?

So you don't see it as a failure on his part to not get rid of the corrupt as he promised to do? How long can it possibly take. We all know who they are, but nothing is happening?!

How can you not see CR as failing when he still, after every thing, have good words about JZ, geezus!

How is he failing??

Cyril is doing the right thing by taking the slow path instead of just blazing his mouth off. He knows he needs to clean the cabinet out but unless he does it in the proper legal action route and seen as not to have his hand in the process people will question his antics. Whereas if it is legally and court followed then nobody and question his motives or claim that he is just cleaning out Zuma's lackies.

We all know what he is doing but at least he is doing it honestly, legally and forthcoming.

Look how just shouting the "truths" have helped the likes of Juju or Zuma get stuff done.

Give the man a chance

errr, the president has complete and full mandate over ministers, they serve only at his pleasure, he can get rid of any one of them for any reason, or no reason, whatsoever and it will NEVER be challenged in court.

Errr, yes but he has in house party officials to also appease, so they don't ax him before he can do his good work. Politics is not about the president himself, it is about the president keepers. As we have learned Zuma still has henchmen firmly in place, if they think Cyril is coming after them, they will do damage to him before he has a chance to fix the ANC NEC. Give him his space and time to do it correctly

Which just goes to show he is putting the ANC first and the country second just. like. Zuma.

In any event, you mentioned "legal route", I merely pointed out that instant dismissal of a minister is a perfectly legal route.

I disagree.. it’s like I’ve been saying, he appears to be setting them up to account for their actions. If he just let them off the hook, they simply wouldn’t turn up for the cross examinations etc.

Pretty much like the inverse chess paying by Zuma ie letting the system take him out by changing the system to do so. In some ways that’s good as the system has been rigged. What remains to be seen though is whether he will make it such that the system cannot be interferes with again.. as much as I think, CR is better.. I doubt he will make it legislatively impossible for the president to abuse power leaving it open for the next abusive, populist & corrupt president. Typical ANC.. maybe we will see this been pushed when they know they losing elections in 2 terms time.

Gigaba is trying to defend himself by appealing to the Constitutional Court to overturn the entire Fireblade Terminal deal, on narrow legal issues: https://www.news24.com/SouthAfrica/News/gigaba-fights-for-his-political-life-20180414

Gigaba is convinced that should the judgment not be reversed, this would encourage other wealthy South Africans to feel entitled to their own airport terminals, leading to an uncontrollable flood. According to government information, several mega-wealthy South African families have inquired about the possibility of having an immigration and custom clearance terminal at major South African airports.

In terms of the now disputed deal between Gigaba and Fireblade, the company would cover the state expenses for running the airport terminal. Government lawyers will now argue that it would be unfair for a private company to unduly benefit from state resources simply because they are rich and that it would amount to a form of “state capture”.

Oh, the irony...

Funny Gigaba had no problem approving the deal until the Guptas whispered in his ear.

"untruths" :crylaugh:

no it is blatant lies!

CR is failing to call it what it really is, why?

But "untruths" is just a mild (and a little more diplomatic) word for "lies". They mean the same things.

Ramaphosa is putting people back in vulnerable positions where they are either subject to investigations into their misdeeds while in office, or giving them enough rope to hang themselves publicly without him putting much pressure on them. He's taking the diplomatic route with this, and allowing the courts to decide what should happen. With the ammunition given to him from the judgements and current investigations, he can proceed to make changes to his cabinet or the ANC's structures without much resistance because resisting these changes would result in bad optics for the ANC.
