I have asked the Wild Heart Wildlife Foundation for clarity on whether the giraffe was killed during the attack or at a later stage.
I have also questioned the term euthanasia ....

I don't get it. Do they think the giraffe has a taste for human blood now or something? It's a wild animal - what does killing it accomplish?
Guarantees it won't kill a human again?

The real reason:

On its website, the farm says that visitors can "enjoy close encounters with animals while walking or cycling the numerous trails".

Lodges all vying to give the visitor that unique experience of close encounters which are not natural. In the wild, humans and wild animals avoid each other.

Ever been chased by a bull, ostrich or gander?
Ostrich is a wild bird. Geese have wild cousins.

Long shot:
Bulls can become feral. Look at USA history, where during the civil war, thousands of cattle became feral.

Oh. So... well... I'm not sure what to do about this.
Was just pointing out the fact that:

You quoted the OP and the BBC article link and said you have dejavu. Then found an article on another site.
It was mentioned in the BBC article.
