Yeah people suck.

This is probably the root of the problem (no, I'm not throwing stones) - but we generalise too much. Some people suck... some people are such ***holes... That's exactly how those discriminating rationalise it - they love stats like "of the x number of jailed crooks in the US, y are black" - just one example - another favourite group to target may be "right wing christian nuts in the us..."... equating to anyone who lives south of the bible belt or is white and votes republican etc. etc. you can never put everyone in the same box and get a clear picture.

Always, when generalising... think of what you may be categorised as (any possibilities - not just your own choices) and whether you think it is fair.

But by saying "people suck" I am specifically avoiding discrimination.
Except of course, if we decide to include other members of the animal kingdom in this statement then yes, I'm discrimination against people as opposed to horses or platypuses.

I agree that mankind in general has issues with hatred to varying degrees and it is up to us to either nurture it or reject it.
