I want a game thats isdn-friendly, i.e. it shouldn't need a fast connection unless there's LOTS going on (happening rarely) & if possible have small patches. Oh, and it should be POPULAR in sa. I tried FEAR which no-one in sa was playing when I checked & I had to update it with a 280 meg file! Please only name popular games like WoW and Bf2. The small patches part is not *too* important

Guild Wars,

Apparently easily playable on 56k, i played on 64K ISDN just fine, but there are patches that will run when you have finished installing.

yikes! I'm not that desperate. What's the busiest fps at the moment? Quake 4/quake wars? And what'll still be popular in half a year?

When you need a break from the FPSs, try Trackmania Nations (racing, 270MB) or Albatross18(Golf,165MB). Both are free, addictive and can be played even over MyWireless

Any fps recommendations at all? Or will I be fine with anything that's popular? I need something that won't slow down too much at 7kb/s

America's Army, runs on wide range of machines and ISDN is ok AFAIK... really popular local (has been for 3 years).

I play fine internationally over shaped 1Mbit DSL, max ping 150, local 40.

You can get away with running ISDN 128k to play Battlefield 2. Turn VoIP off and avoid bore than 30 or so okes on a server. I know a few guys who play like that.

yip, i play BF2 with 128k ISDN with VOIP on... not much lag unless the SGS servers decide to reboot.

otherwise all other games are playable as long as you have them patched and updated. ;)

Why play international, when you can play local. Much better pings and people :)
