Wanted to get a Figo. But with it being discontinued spare parts will be issue.

90% of those alternatives I wouldn't touch.

I doubt spares will be an issue. There are cars on the roads that haven't been made in decades and yet they keep going. And Ford will keep supplying the parts and generics will fill the gap as they always do even the manufacturers supplies them.

You won’t have issues with parts for those cars. You just won’t.

Nothing can compete against the polo right now to be honest, the rest of the cars just don’t feel like they are on the same class. Now the polo is going to sell even more.

Remember, dealerships make huge profits from services and parts.

I wouldn't worry about it for atleast the next 10 years or so.

Yes, plenty cars that were discontinued years ago still have parts, plus the Figo engine is old tech so it probably shared parts with previous versions of Ford engines.

Biggest mistakes the rivals make is to price their cars to close to the Polo. They add some useless features and think that will appeal. I think they need to lower the asking price and then they will have a chance. The Rio sold like hot cakes once upon a time. The current Rio is too expensive for what it is. I am not a big fan of the Polo but I would rather get that than any of the rivals atm. Better resell value.

I dont like the polo either, but right now it would be the only option, The rivals also take forever to update their line up whereas the polo gets updated regularly, I assume its because they dont have a big budget like VW. The current Rio is nice but its really dated now and too expensive.

So the Fit, Starlet, Rio, i20, Mazda 2 are all worse than the Figo?

The 2015 Fiesta already had a pretty awful plastic interior.
Body construction wasn't bad however. Can just imagine with the Figo being a entry level product.

There isn't a day of the week where I wouldn't take a Clio or 208 ahead of the Polo.

Is the 208 the one that comes with the square steering wheel that blocks your view from seeing the cluster? I have to admit it does look good and seems to have a lot of gizmos as standard, its just unfortunate about the resale.
