Google+ data bug exposes info of 52.5 million users

Google's social media platform Google+ potentially exposed the personal information of 52.5 million users.

The company announced the security flaw in a blog post, adding that it would discontinue the consumer version of the social media platform along with its API due to "significant challenges" involved in maintaining the product.

It is unlikely that Google+ is shutdown due to the single bug (fixed already).

Do you still believe in a cure for Spectre/Meltdown?

One thing I'll miss is the little avatar/icon which accompanies you wherever you use google services. Hopefully they find a way to allow us to update it from elsewhere once they flush G+.
