Google announced today that Google Maps users can add a map to their website or blog by simply copying & pasting a snippet of HTML – making it easier to share and disseminate geographic information.

Regrettably...

The ability to embed maps is available for Google Maps users in the US, the UK, Canada, Australia, Japan, France, Italy, Germany, Spain, Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden and Russia. It is available in the following languages: English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Dutch, Danish, Finnish, Norwegian, Swedish, Russian, Japanese, Catalan, Basque, Galician, Welsh, Faroese and Chinese (TW).

...we don't seem to be included.

Maps of SA are so out of date anyway - most satellite pics more than 4 years old - useless.
One can even still see the old SA flag if you zoom in close enough... :rolleyes:

Worked for me - just embedded a map of my area into my blog without a hitch. Not sure why there would be any restrictions. :confused:
