My Pixel 6 arrived today.
Some initial thoughts:
1. The screen is very good. I really can't complain. It is responsive, with the brightness and quality that very good.
2. Out of the box, the fingerprint reader was not as bad as it was made out to be. It isn't quite as fast as my Galaxy S9 fingerprint reader, but not so slow that I would complain. And this was before the system update. I haven't really tested it that much.
3. Stock Android seems much better than 3-4 years ago when my wife had a Nokia 8. I don't think it will be necessary to load a custom launcher.
4. The Android 12 drop-down menu is not great. I agree with many reviewers that actions that used to take 2-3 swipes, now take 4 or more swipes, and this is a step backward. Maybe they will fix this in the future.
5. I still need to copy my apps. Will do so tonight at home.
6. Have not had a chance to really test the camera. Will do so.
7. I have not transferred my sim card yet. Will do so tonight.
8. Will see if I can get eSim working at some stage.
