At least STD Bank and FNB didnt wait 8 months to come onboard. That was the case with Apple Pay.

Loaded on my Samsung phone and the Wear OS watch I had given up hope would ever be supported. Adding the card to the watch needs another bank verification which I find unreasonably irritating. I guess it is an additional device so that makes sense. Will test with an actual payment soon.

FNB virtual card? data usage? zero rated?

tried it out on my Rooted S9, worked like a charm, had to hide it in Magisk settings, but I was able to pay and do everything

Which is the best between Google and Samsung Pay. Any security concerns with uploading my card to Google Pay. I already use Samsung Pay with my ABSA account but for some reason my Standard Bank card do not work with Samsung Pay.

If you use the Play store to buy apps they'll already have it on file.

FNB virtual card loaded fine (S21U running stock). In fact it was already there I guess from Google Play. I'm yet to actually test.

My phone doesn't have NFC - but my watch does - the app installed, so now to find somewhere to test. Biggest issue is the way the teller staff in SA look at you.
This is not new to them anymore, Apple pay changed everything and they are used to this now. You wont get any looks believe me.
