Tested on Wear OS. It works. It needs you to have a screen lock (pin/pattern/etc) but it didn't ask me to unlock until I had already tapped. The well-worn FNB terminal at the coffee shop said "check phone for further instructions" and then froze. Once they had reloaded the transaction, I was able to tap. Payment went through almost instantly, and without asking me unlock again. Not sure if the unlock is random, if there's a timer or what.

My phone doesn't have NFC - but my watch does - the app installed, so now to find somewhere to test. Biggest issue is the way the teller staff in SA look at you.

The transaction shows as a normal card transaction, not as a Google Transaction if that answers your question

one thing's for sure here: no need to buy the Samsung Watch with its mediocre battery life

well they dont do with Apple Pay/Wallet so not sure why they would now, but will keep an eye on it, also collecting funds at a later date is not ideal, if youre not sure you will be recover the cost at a later time

Dont have much hair - and you joke - since WFO become a thing I've accidentally gone out a couple of times in my slippers, only realising on arrival - much to my families embarrassment.
