Gordhan announces new Eskom board - including former Eskom chair, former MTN CEO

Probably to deal with the unions when the useless employees get fired
Oh sure, if he’s helping the board deal with unions, then smart move. However, if he’s helping unions push their crap on the board…

Cautiously, that looks like a reasonable set of people. Not sure why the CFO is still lurking, he manages to stay out of the news but has to be part of the rot.

Let's see the strategy first. If that is opaque, then we know nothing will change.

Is it? Don't mean **** if nothing improves.
They have to find common ground and leadership from Andre, I think that will be a problem with some of these guys, if they all stay on for minimum 12 months it could improve things
Andre was good at pointing out all the faults within eskom but unable to fix it. With this team they can sort out sabotage, compliance, tech, nuclear, bloat and government interference. In my opinion anyway

Is it possible to fix Eskom without either retrenchments or else massive electircity price increases? If not, how does the board fix the problem? They might not be empowered to retrench.
