Eskom is done. Nothing can save it with fools like Gordan at the helm.

This Jamnadas must stfu and step aside

The only thing he does is make things worse
Employment and operational matters are not the business of the minister. This sounds so wrong on many levels if it is indeed the way it is reported, I am very interested in hearing from Gordhan because it doesn't make sense to me.
I'll get him to call you asap

A lot, I am also wondering why is it Gordhan who is doing that, something about it sounds off, Eskom has management and HR who should be dealing with this stuff.

Ministers meddling like that even if their intentions are noble is very improper and could be interpreted as abuse of power.

It has to be a political decision to use non BEE, AA and EE contractors. Eskom's hands are tied by the racist employment laws of SA.

I am still waiting for the hunger and famine you prophesied was going to befell us after the July riots.

You haven't seen how the petty theft crime has increased yet? Do you think that's organised crime or hunger and survival causing that?

It is when it is the law who you may employ and what they should look like. Any deviation from that comes from a minister.

You and the MyCadres didn't believe me some time ago when I stated on this forum that one of my appointments to a government contract required ministerial approval because I was white and they had to prove they had no blacks for the position. Now you see it happening on a large scale.

Headlines Tomorrow.

EFF and Julius Malema express outrage at Minister Gordhan wanting to get help from Solidarity stating that there are plenty of capable people in the country that can fix Eskom and that he and Ramaphosa must step down.

And the wheels on the circus bus will go round and round ..

The Cubans have never, ever been good at anything. You just need to look at them back in the 1980's here in Africa and today in their own country. Much like the ANC both back then and now. It is now just a matter of them expecting compensation in many forms from the ANC for their support back then. Nothing to do with being good or having skills.

And tragically it was FAPLA and SWAPO doing the dying with the Cubans chasing them on with the Russians right behind chasing the Cubans on.

MK never took part in any battle against the SADF and the only dying they did in Angola was in their torture camps at the hands of the ANC Mbokodo.

If it happens that Eskom has an issue where hiring certain people negatively interferes with their AA and EE targets the board can approach Pravin and tell him about it, Pravin can therefore give the go ahead to the board which can liase with management. At no point can it ever be acceptable that the minister is going around making agreements with whoever pertaining to HR matters at Eskom, it is improper.

How else do you think it happened?

No idea, what do you think?

Criminology 101 - Petty theft is not organised crime. It is caused by economic circumstances revolving around survival.

Do you still think the entire household can survive on Gogo's R1890 per month and the kid grants of R450 a month? Plus the imminent withdrawal of the R350 Covid unemployment grant?

Almost half the country is on grants and almost 40% are officially unemployed as well. How long has the government been warned that this system is unsustainable? You cannot welfare a society into prosperity and you cannot make the poor rich by taxing the rich.
