Got my British Passport! Now need alot of advice.

So I got my British Passport today, and it says British Citizen on it, what a good feeling this is, I haven't smiled like that for ages when I opened up the packaging and saw it in their purely because it means a whole lot more opportunities for me.

Now I am traveling to Germany in June for 3 weeks to do some tattooing, now will I have zero problems entering the country, is my British passport honestly all I will need once I board the plane?

2ndly, what is the best and cheapest way for me to book flights?

I'd appreciate any advice please, as everything needs to be done asap and I have just over a month to get everything organized (I already have a place to stay)

No issues with British passport. The newer passports are a bit different, so the did give me the once over before letting me in.

Leave and arrive in SA on your SA passport, use your british one in europe/usa.
Many african countries charge non-african passport holders a lot for visas, so if you're visiting one of them, do some research first.

I have found that Expedia is good for checking on prices, but I have always ended up booking direct with the airline. Luthansa has been having some good deals, but for the best price book well ahead. Last time I flew to Europe I booked eight month ahead with Swiss.

what documents did you submit.
I dont think you should get anything back unless you are renewing.
In which case they send the old passport back

My mothers birth certificate etc :/ as far as I know from the site they say they return everything, maybe it is just returned seprately

Germany is in the EU so you just need your British Passport with no visas required.

This is normal under their new process. The original documents are returned separately from the passport. I think the passport is now sent from the UK and the original docs from the High Commission.

Yeah it should be fine - my cuz is currently doing the opposite. Working in Britain with a Germany pass. Do double check, but I doubt its an issue.

The amount of money and type of job where you work for 3 weeks probably makes it irrelevant.
