I have no faith in a government who couldn't even maintain & expand older tech, how in hell are they going to manage nuclear?

Nene told journalists on Wednesday that Treasury will conduct a “transparent budget process”.

Ugh, whatever Nene; pull the other one, it's got bells.

This is code for government planning to blow R200 million on sending hundreds of overpaid civil servants off to waddle around the best hotels in Europe, Asia and America on "fact finding" missions and "workshops". Lesser functionaries will be limited to week long "working committees" (Lekgotla's) at South African luxury resorts. Consultants will trail along everywhere hoping to pick up some morsels, but secure in the knowledge that they will never actually have to deliver anything meaningful for their R10000 per meeting fee.
