Government changes minimum entry requirements for a Bachelor’s degree in South Africa

The minister of Higher Education and Training, Naledi Pandor, has amended the minimum admission requirements for a Bachelor's Degree in South Africa.

It's so strange how L/O is compulsory but doesn't carry any points.

Doesn't matter, they can make it 0% and there still won't be enough places, even for those who do well in Matric. The dumb kids will never get in anyway.

Luckily the study material itself will weed out the wheat from the chaff. Unfortunately it will place a heavier burden on the NSFAS. Education is never a bad thing. Government making it seem as if Bachelors degrees are the be-all end-all of education lately though?
