Government says too many skilled people have left South Africa – and it wants to bring them back

Get them back, to sit at home? They won't be able to be employed anywhere, because of BEE and cadre employment.

Why would anyone come back.. Bee is still here
True,

Let me say this again, hopefully some government lackey is a member of mybb and may see it.

1. Your relationship with China is exporting jobs to China, not creating jobs here.
2. Expertise is better remunerated off shore and taxed A LOT less.
3. I cannot work without power
4. Crime is a problem - regardless of how you try to justify the old adage "crime is everywhere" - its IS worse in SA.
5. I don't like being blamed for all your poor decisions because of my race.
6. I don't like competing with lesser skilled people who are given a head start based on color or gender, and certainly don't have that problem out of SA.
7. I don't like your monetary of fiscal policies
8. Your labour laws are prohibitive on skilled managerial workers who have to deal with shop floor workers
9. I don't believe you can guarantee my safety and security
10. The judicial system is in a shambles, and as I have learnt - has no respect for property rights.

I will continue to urge all skilled workers, who want to, and can, to find a host country to work in offshore, and to enjoy living rather than just surviving.

Tomorrow is the 1st March, not April. OTOH, they need the practice

Yeah no, ANC can forget about that. Real educated and skilled people will know not to return to SA. Those who are still being educated and or getting skilled in this country will leave too. The ANC should contact the old NP government and ask for advise on how to run a country.

I had a colleague who came from Sudan, worked here for 3 years got and now has left for Ireland.

creative and flexible pathways for their temporary or permanent return maximising their possible contribution to South African society, without undermining in any manner citizens’ fundamental right of movement.
Perhaps change the tax policy so that it doesn’t look like if I sneeze in SA, I’m back in the tax net and exchange control net.

If I could I would upvote this post into the stratosphere.

I am actively campaigning to get my friends to move to the UK and have a better life for themselves and their kids. Got 2-3 families planning the move.

So when does BEE / AA get cancelled? As long as there are laws like that nobody will come back
