I am depressed.
I am a provisional payer.
So twice a year I submit a return. (Which I am currently doing.)
During the year I try to budget the tax but I am always short.
When I pay I have to give even more money.
In return hospitals are a mess.
Police services are shocking.
Crime is high.
Electricity intermittent.
Petrol..... yes what can we say.

Help! Government takes too much money!

How can I give less towards corruption. Having a home office what all can I subtract?

Welcome to africa, where the biggest black-hole exists. You may not throw tantrums, you may not speak your mind, your are forbidden to take action against any african government regards to your rights. You will be left homeless in a year, all your belongings will be re-distributed to create a better life for the darkness to come. Your lights will go out, your water will only come from rain, but hey, there will be work for you as a gardener at the lavish palaces of hoernable julius and gang. You will be forbidden to own anything, but hey, let me say it again... Welcome to africa!

I feel your pain, I am in exactly the same boat.
Fed up with the government, fed up with all the extra's they keep on dreaming up and expecting people to just pay.
But it is not just the government, private companies are the same.
Everything just seems to be geared at making life more expensive, not better.

And I share your sentiments about these accountants, I don't expect them to break the law and I don't want to either, but a little bit of creativity would go a long way.

Extreme high taxes, Levies, admin costs with all sorts of names, is one of the SYMPTOMS that deeply embedded fraud/corruption is present in any monetary system, the next cost is just a boardroom nodge and a digital click away, that easy. Evidence can be abstractly hidden, but Symptoms are there for all to see/observe/feel. Feel how capitalism is ringnecked. This is worldwide, poorly understood, digital was for this like a cellphone was for the smuggler/drug dealers since radios.
It will be interesting to see how the next 2 generations are going to handle this once they figured out whats going on.

It's not government it's the anc.
The cadres and exployters. They have raped, collapsed and drained all they can out of the SOE's now they turning to the few diminishing tax payers to fund their lavish lifestyles.

It will only get worse.

Happy Friday

ANC:- "We stole all your money now you must pay it back"
