So no more Pakistani cell phone shops, spaza shops or barbers?

I think so ......

however, do you think that they will disappear overnight? I don't think so.

that may force them to commit crimes or other illegal activities.

You didn't read it properly - 'foreign BUSINESS" not 'Our African Brothers'.
If the borders were closed properly then they would not have this problem as much.

How can you start now. What about those already in the business and doing well bringing in a good tax income and employing people?

This is Africa and it ain't going to end well.

Who?
The chinese with their mega China towns in modderfontein? Or the mega Chinese city near Louis Trichart?

Or are we hating afriacan Brothers now?
Or will we block Saudi and the gas plants?

or are we saying you can bring your money but never own anything. Sounds like BEE.51% or more of businesses must be signed over to black south africans ‘previously disadvantaged’.

we see how good that turned out. Malemmer must love this for his open africa dream.

And here I thought it was #becausewhites

How about government regulate how foreign people enter the country and gain employment? They could be more lenient on certain skilled people that can contribute to the economy. They could even give each foreigner a little card or stamp that they stick in their passport to say that they’re in the country legally. This little card will be master of all activities of that person in the country, so they could call it a mastercard.

Or maybe a visa.
They already do and its a big problem in the formal sector. Especially the medical field.

"We need to put in place legislation that will be able to set aside and strike a clear balance that will help us to still grow the economy for the benefit of everyone in South Africa, but still be able to say there are sectors that we need to regulate and be clearly stated that no foreign national can run this kind of a business”.

Next time somebody asks you why the economy is not growing enough to provide jobs for young people... This. This is why. Our insane leaders believe some ideological ambitions they have are important enough to undermine economic growth. At least to an extent... But of course 2.5% growth when 5% is needed is pretty much as much of a failure as no growth at all. It is simply not enough. But... they... just... can't... seem... to... understand... this.

I suppose in the end this is just the latest excuse. At least half, probably most, in government simply believe it is their personal time to eat. F*** the rest.

Are "the African brothers" not slaughtering each other?

Yes but that is not what this is about. This is about government deciding what sectors foreign investors may invest in. In other words they are restricting foreign investment. Almost certainly stupidly.

So is the cANCer party going to introduce legislation that will make it illegal for foreigners to sell drugs and will that mean that locals can take over that sector of the economy in Little Nigeria (Hillbrow)?
Oi! Little Nigeria is near Cape Town, alternatively known as Narclands, or according to the municipality: Parklands

Yeah that’s the problem - legal immigrants face onerous paperwork (police clearance, SAQA, fees, renewals), whereas illegal immigrants face no paperwork. More regulation will deal with legal immigrants, while having no effect on illegal immigrants. So regulation changes are hardly going to solve the problem.
