Okay, I get the concerns/ complaints but what solutions were provided on the matter by the complaining or concerned party, and what are the cost implications of that solutions?

Seems it is easier to complain than offer plan B.
ANC will ignore any offers of alternatives. The ANC only goes the ANV way. That is why we are where we are.

The TUI that delivered the first batch was a charter from Brussels using a B787-8. It's also in a passenger configuration and usually does low cost long haul to Caribbean etc.

Ethiopian Cargo flies here at least 3xweekly with a B777-F freighter. 1 pallet on this flight would have been a lot cheaper. Other cargo options are KLM Cargo, at least 5x weekly or Turkish Cargo 3x weekly.

5bar could have got us quite a few more vaccines than the expensive SAA dog 'n pony show!
Cargolux Italia also flies here, in a big fat 747 cargo plane. You can fit many many vaccine pallets into it.

We know the whole SAA thing is just a show. "Oh look we still have an airline" even though its basically a dead horse being beaten and dragged around on the back of a Hilux.

As long as we're bringing vaccines back I don't care if they kitted that Airbus out with an onboard club and strip joint. Just let the thing go and come back with vaccines. And pref do this on a much much larger scale.
It also gives a chance for them to fly instead of rotting in the parking.
I think you might be on to something here, maybe you should be in charge of the business rescue, would probably be selling more tickets than these muppets...

Pilot error almost led to disaster at takeoff:
undercooked by 90 tons, fcukit. This really stood out for me - The SAA flight to Brussels was initially barred from take-off by Sacaa on grounds that the airline’s pilots hadn’t clocked up the required number of flying hours, or maintained their training because SAA has been grounded. There were also concerns about whether SAA was conducting regular maintenance of its aircraft fleet while it was grounded.

I am surprised SAA is still allowed to fly. I get this feeling that 1 day I am gonna be watching the SAA crash on
